As experts says - Adobe “Apollo” is a new platform for developing desktop applications using web technologies. Where in which web developers can make use of their existing web development skills like Flash, Flex, HTML, JavaScript, Ajax to build and deploy rich Internet applications (RIAs) to the desktop.
This Adobe Apollo can be used in each and every context like in developing web-based desktop applications with network interactivity. Apollo enables the developers to develop some interaction models which includes drag-and-drop applications, clipboard access, system shortcuts etc., As of now alpha version has been released.

Demonstration of eBay Application
The above URL depicts the demonstration of awesome eBay desktop application by Mike Downey from Adobe. He has briefly explained about features involved in Apollo taking eBay application as an example.

Above are some of the links which I have provided, and you guys can find more features which I have not depicted in the above, Adobe intends to provide the final release of Apollo and additional developer resources when the prerelease cycle is complete later this year.

Wow. This looks like a very interesting technology to keep an eye on, from both, a developers and end-users perspectives. Has all sorts of innovative possibilities in the (connected and offline) network space.

Yeah, as you have mentioned we need to keep an eye on. New technologies are sopping up in the market.
